Railings

Weland manufactures three different types of standard railing for straight flight staircases. Industrial railings, railings with intermediate rails and round-bar railings.

The height of balustrade is as standard 900 mm in the flights and 1100 mm on the landings. In case of danger of falling and if the drop is more than one normal storey, the height of balustrade in the flights should also be 1100 mm.

Manufacture takes place in accordance with the Construction Rules issued by the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning (BBR) and is dimensioned in accordance with Eurocode with national application.

Railing location

Straight flight staircases can be manufactured with railings on either the right or left-hand side, or with railings on both sides. The railing is welded or screwed onto the stringers in flights and on landings. Handrails fixed to the wall on one or both sides of the flight of stairs are also an alternative.

Platform Balustrade

Don't forget to provide connecting areas with an attractive railing in the same style, such as arch railings.

Kick Strip

A kick strip stops objects from falling off the stairs.
